Lin Cao ( TRAIN ) is a professional model and actor. He possesses exceptional professional capabilities, striking good looks, and oh,  that smile.

Last year, when our team travelled to Japan for the ‘Snow Country Outdoor Shoot’, we discussed the beauty of Hong Kong’s coastline during evening conversations: a promise was made to visit Hong Kong during the finest season.

Hong Kong’s finest season is, obviously, autumn — when the breeze caresses like affection and even the air itself is sweet. In early October, our trio journeyed to the southern beaches of Hong Kong Island. We were not disappointed at all, it all went smoothly to the Utopia – guided perhaps by Adonis himself?

My previous work involved photographing / producing female model portfolios. My experience is that shooting men— more often than not — is far more straightforward, efficient, and direct without any hassle than women. There are far fewer last-minute ‘issues’. What ‘issues’?  Women’s issues have been endless for millennia; there’s always an unexpected surprise.

A middle-aged hiker sat meditating on a nearby hillside, observing us as we gazed at the sea. The three of us watched him, he watched us, all together contemplating the ocean.

Soon, dusk descended.

An aged 1D Mark IV SLR, paired with an endearingly simple EF 50mm F1.8 lens and natural light. That afternoon, the people and Hong Kong were truly beautiful.
